While college may expand students’ waistlines with the freshman 15, one thing that surely tightens up is their bank accounts. I mean there are just so many important things to buy, right? A new dress for formal, the newest version of FIFA, booze, and don’t forget about take out food when you get tired of dining on campus. I mean who has time to cook with a busy schedule, and also have the money to order food every night? But fear not, for there is a way to have your cake and eat it too. Literally.Many of the local restaurants downtown have daily deals and specials that can cut the cost of your meals in half. So put the sticks of butter down and continue reading.

D.P. DOUGH
 

Looking for a late night snack or satisfying Italian food delivered to your residence? D.P. Dough may be the place for you. With a staggering list of 50 calzones all around $6.13 each, there is almost every combination of bread, cheese and

sauce that you can imagine. DP Dough has figured out a way to keep both your stomach and your wallet full by offering steady deals and discounts on Calzones. 

 

For example, DP Dough has a daily calzone. Everyday, a certain calzone will be promoted and marked down to $5. This is a pretty adventurous way to save money. Another deal they offer is the 2 for $14.95. If you and a friend happen to be hungry, you can buy 2 calzones, 2 sodas, and an order of breadsticks for $14, which means you save $6.29! They also offer a deal where you can get any three calzones for $5.55 each. And if you happen to be hungry on Tuesdays you get a free calzone with a purchase over $10. On Thursdays you can get 2 free cookies when you buy two calzones and two 20oz sodas.

Fresh Harvest has weekly specials and monthly deals.

 

For example, in the month of November you can get daily deals for under $5. On Mondays they serve 2 orders of chicken nuggets and fries for $4.99. On Tuesdays you can get a Philly Cheesesteak and fries for $4.99, and on Wednesday they serve 1/3lb hamburger and fries for $4.99. Thursdays is when you can get a Chicken Caesar wrap and fries for $4.99 and Fridays include Chicken Parmesan and fries for $4.99. For the weekend you can get BBQ pork sandwiches and Cole slaw for $3.99.

Have a sweet tooth and miss grandma’s baked goods, well Insomnia may be perfect place.

 

If you purchase The Sugar Rush, you can get 12 cookies for $14, or you can get The Major Rush and Big Man on Campus, which are 18 cookies for $20 and 24 cookies for $26. Which sounds like a lot of cookies at first, but lets be real now, when has anyone ever just eaten one cookie?
