BETWEEN IN THE SHEETS

FREAK IN THE SHEETS

Having a healthy appetite for sex is nothing to be ashamed of; it’s a stress

reliever and an expression of your own personal sexuality. But there is a rare breed lurking among us, more commonly known as “freaks in the sheets”. Being a freak is more than just spanking, hair pulling and scratches down your back before the big "O." It’s having the natural instinct to satisfy all your sexual curiosities without hesitation.

Although there are many ways to explore untouched territories, a more commonly discussed fetish is BDSM (Bondage, Dominance, Submission, Masochism). Ths involves a variety of erotic practices with a theme of dominance and submission, role-playing and restraints. If whips and chains don’t get you

hot and bothered, don’t let it stop you from being as adventurous as you desire.

Being a freak can just mean enjoying sex as often as you can get it. There’s nothing wrong with spicing things up. So buy some cute lingerie, keep some condoms at hand and have a wild night. You never know when you’ll discover something that makes the "O" ten times better than you thought possible.

Sex is Timeless

11.15.2013

Coming home after a long day filled with exams, mundane classes and endless hours at the Paterno Library, there are very few things that relieve this ongoing stress. Although the assumed stress relievers are having a drink or packing a bowl, the emerging popularity of using sex in a recreational sense is becoming ever more popular.

In this day and age, sex is not necessarily a romantic act of love found in Billy Shakespeare’s plays and sonnets, but is as communicable as tuberculosis and has the equivalent value of a handshake. Where did this “hit it and quit it” mentality originate from? It’s reasonable to say that it’s a product of the media and society and is perpetuated by songs like Petey Pablo’s “Freek-A-Leek” and advertisement from Hollister Co. that use sex to stimulate the economy. In colleges across the United States being promiscuous is an act of conformity and typically the result of alcohol consumption after a long Thirsty Thursday. This issue of the casual “hook up” has become so popular that the New York Times has dedicated an article to it.

On July 12, 2013, the article entitled “Sex on Campus: She Can Play That Game, Too” which stated “hooking up is a functional strategy for today’s hard-charging and ambitious young women,

allowing them to have enjoyable sex lives while focusing most of  their energy on academic and professional goals.” Since women are taking a more dominate role in the business world, the ongoing mindset is making its debut in the bedroom.

So the question stands, Are women’s career goals causing the extinction of traditional relationships? Or is this the beautiful beginning of sexual renaissance?  I guess that question can never truly be answered, but one thing is for certain, sex is unavoidable. Whether you’re the quarterback of the game or just sitting on the sideline waiting for your play to be called, sex is timeless and is here to stay.
